I regret to inform my customers that I have taken the difficult decision to stop producing my work. I have had a successful few years since graduating but feel it is time to move onto new things. Thank you to all my customers who have allowed me to realise my childhood dream of being a professional artist, it has been an inspiring experience.
Hollie Wright is a designer and craftswoman who uses reclaimed wood and fittings to make quirky functional furniture. Her influences come from the allotment and smallholding lifestyle she grew up with in rural Oxfordshire. Chickens have always been a central part to her daily life, and so have become the leading characters of her work.
Her work ranges in scale and complexity, from single wire chickens to larger wall cabinets. Every piece has a function, with cupboards, drawers and compartments, making them entirely useable and designed for everyday life.
Since graduating from Hereford College of Arts in July 2008, she has exhibited at New Designers and the Country Living Spring Fair in Islington. Her work can be found in several galleries nationwide, and has been featured in two national magazines.
